Reporting to the Payroll Lead, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for assisting with end-to-end management and processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all statutory and legislative requirements, as well as with all Civic policies and procedures. This role is also responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources Team. ABOUT YOU You are an energic, proactive and passionate self-starter who loves being organised and working in an environment that is fast-paced with lots of competing priorities. You pride yourself on your ability to achieve warm, friendly relationships with your team and colleagues. You possess: Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role. Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, HR or a related discipline (desirable). Familiarity with payroll, HRIS and time tracking software, preferably Humanforce. Basic understanding of modern awards. Intermediate Microsoft Office and computer skills To succeed in the position of Payroll Officer you will need to have strong relationship building and communication skills, thrive working in a fast-paced environment and be able to execute work in a timely manner, have discretion with sensitive and private information and be flexible to the changing needs of Civic.
