We are looking for such an individual who is highly motivated and diligent to lead in provisioning and maintaining highly available critical platform and application solutions for the Department of Education.The Department of Education is dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity.About the Role:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Architecture, design, delivery and retirement of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Application Development Frameworks, championing maintainability, portability, reusability, testability, optimum abstraction, ease of use, optimum packaging and backward compatibility in the design.Lead the activities of subordinate team members in the delivery of products, including monitoring performance, providing advice, guidance and assisting in the formulation of solutions to complex system and programming problems associated with business systems or departmental application development frameworks.Maintain an environment in which high quality services are delivered through fostering adherence to the quality system documentation, continually seeking improvements in the way in which work is undertaken and leading by example.Highly desirable skills and experience:Strong knowledge of design principles and frameworks, and experience in ServiceNow platform administration and support.Knowledge of or experience with one or more of the services or systems related to the role.Experience in implementing IT change management processes to support integration and engagement.Experience using a range of software, and ability to rapidly become fluent in new software, including: ServiceNow, Microsoft Windows, Desktop publishing software - Microsoft Office suite and Visio.ServiceNow Certification e.g. CSA - Certified System Administrator and/or CTA - Certified Technical Architect.Demonstrated ability to embrace change and respond flexibly to changing expectations and requirements.Superior written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate in a clear, succinct and deliberate manner.How to Apply:Please attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant previous work history); andA 2-page written statement in response to the role description.We welcome all applicants to share any support needed to ensure our recruitment process is inclusive.
