ACCIONA Energía is governed by the most demanding environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria.Join us as a Project Controls Specialist and manage cost estimation, project scheduling, and cost control reporting for Acciona Energia projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.Job DescriptionThis role is part of the Project Management Office (PMO) which resides within the Acciona Energia Australia Engineering & Construction department and is responsible for the standardisation of project governance, control, processes and reporting, and facilitates the sharing of resources, methodologies, tools, and techniques across Acciona Energia’s Australian portfolio of projects.Key responsibilities include:Cost Estimation & Analysis: Interpret, analyse, and validate CAPEX cost estimates through the pre-FID phase by collaborating with engineering, procurement, and E&C construction teams. Assess labour, materials, equipment, and other costs in project plans.Project Schedule & Cost Management: Prepare, monitor, and update project schedules from initial estimation to completion. Develop and track cost plans, forecasts, and risk integration for stakeholders.Cross-functional Collaboration & Reporting: Engage with internal and external teams in Australia and Spain to drive standardisation in estimation, planning, and cost deliverables. Provide reports, including S-curves, critical path analysis, and progress updates.Resource & Risk Management: Implement effective resource allocation within schedules and proactively assess what-if scenarios for schedule and cost optimisation. Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies for project success.Technical Documentation & Tools: Analyse engineering drawings and construction documentation, utilise innovative tools like Power BI for data manipulation, and support Technical Investment Memo development with accurate project cost management.Required Skills and CompetenciesDegree in engineering or related field with significant experience in project cost, estimating, and schedule control, preferably in wind farm, solar, or BESS projects.Proficient in project programming software (e.g., Primavera), advanced Microsoft Office skills, and experience with cost management software (SAP, Oracle).
