About the Role
The Project Officer - Lungs in Action will play a key role in strengthening engagement with stakeholders and growing our Lungs in Action program. This vital role will contribute to improving access to evidence-based exercise maintenance programs and supporting individuals with chronic lung conditions to achieve better health and social outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build partnerships with exercise professionals and agencies to expand awareness and access to Lungs in Action.
* Develop and implement annual activity plans aligned with program priorities, budget, and risk management frameworks.
* Oversee program governance, including engaging an advisory committee and facilitating continuous quality improvement activities.
* Promote and support the Lungs in Action workforce by delivering education and training initiatives.
* Drive program sustainability by identifying funding opportunities and contributing to strategic growth plans.
* Facilitate program evaluation through data collection, analysis, and outcome reporting to enhance the evidence base of community models of exercise rehabilitation.
* Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to implement promotional strategies.
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in public health, community engagement, or exercise rehabilitation.
Requirements include:
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and budgets.
* Confidence in stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems like Salesforce.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications include formal qualifications in allied health, exercise, or a related field in community engagement/development, as well as not-for-profit sector experience.
