Key Responsibilities: Support job managers by conducting research, drafting correspondence, reports, and planning approval applications.Review and revise plans based on client feedback, regulations, and project direction.Deliver well-researched, accurate, and succinct reports on time and within budget.Stay updated on industry trends, planning schemes, legislative changes, and major projects.Consult with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and professional communication regarding project progress and issues.Coordinate co-consultants to achieve successful project outcomes.Monitor project budgets and timelines, notifying job managers of any potential delays or budget overruns.Maintain accurate job files and prepare draft invoices in a timely manner.Occasionally attend evening or weekend events such as council meetings or business development activities.Key Relationships: Internal: Collaborate with Directors, Associates, Senior Planners, Planning Consultants, and Reception teams.External: Engage with clients, government authorities (local and state), technical consultants, industry bodies, and the community.Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning, geography, or a related field.0-5 years of experience in a planning consultant or local government planning role/ Graduates welcomed.In-depth knowledge of WA statutory planning issues and legislation.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Good negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Personal traits of integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic. #J-18808-Ljbffr
