Homemaker (Catering Assistant)

As a Homemaker at our Green Hills site, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality hospitality services to ensure the residents' household serveries are well set up and presented. We want the residents' dining experience to feel home-like and for each individual to feel supported and engaged by you.

Your Contribution
You can support this individualised care model by:
* Ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime
* Maintaining effective household servery processes with cleanliness and safety in mind
* Ensuring adequate stock levels of all self-service servery items, so residents can independently utilise the kitchen as desired
* Working with the Care Partners to deliver hospitality goals and maintain the desired household culture
* Ensuring mealtimes reflect a "home-like" experience through the staging of tables, set up of music and lighting, and the fragrant smells of freshly cooked food
* Engaging with residents during mealtime and if they choose to, support their involvement in setting up the dining experience, preparing meals and clean up
* Ensuring a thorough understanding of residents' special diet needs and commitment to learning and implementing innovative, tasty, and varied ways to meet customer diet needs and preferences from the Chef team
* Proactively modelling the Fresh Hope Communities' Values of kindness, connection, optimism, and integrity in all interactions with the team, stakeholders, and external parties
The Essentials
* Relevant certifications in hospitality or care services
* Relevant experience in providing hospitality or care services within the residential aged care environment or willingness to learn on the job
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Strong resident-centred manner
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to utilise resident information systems
* Possess a current National Criminal History Check Certificate suitable for aged care
* Able to undertake a role with moderate physical requirements.
