The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably experienced educators for this full time position in the Improvement, Learning and Wellbeing Team at Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong commencing September 2024. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Education Officer - Numeracy/Curriculum Implementation is a member of the Improvement Learning and Wellbeing Team - Learning K-12. The successful applicant in this position will work predominantly with teachers of students in Kindergarten to Year 6 but will be required to have an understanding of numeracy K-12. It is expected that the successful applicant will also support the mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong and promote the strategic direction document, "Lighting the Way" through the Continuous Catholic School Improvement Framework.

16. Post-graduate study in a relevant discipline.
17. Accreditation in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong policy (or a commitment to acquiring within a 5 year period).
18. Current drivers licence
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
19. Work collaboratively across the CEDoW service ares to ensure system strategic goals and objectives are realised by providing differentiated support to schools.
20. Develop, lead and facilitate professional learning opportunities through structured and informal professional learning experiences, in order to build the capability of school staff to support each student.
21. Supporting teachers particularly in the area of numeracy to improve pedagogy, leading to improved learning outcomes.
22. Supporting schools to develop quality programs linked to new curriculum.
23. Assist teachers with resources, materials, tools, information etc. to support classroom instruction and planning.
24. Interpret and respond to data to improve student learning outcomes, particularly in the area of numeracy.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE
This role is classified as a child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.
