About the role: As a Civil Engineering Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the Engineering team by delivering technical investigations, designs, audits, and advisory services related to water and wastewater infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Prioritise safety in all aspects of work, ensuring compliance with WHS roles and responsibilities. Coordinate and contribute to the Safety in Design (SiD) process to achieve safe design outcomes. Develop and support civil discipline technical investigations, designs, and audits. Provide timely, accurate, and effective technical support on SiD matters for the Civil discipline team. Engage with stakeholders to meet customer expectations and deliver cost-effective solutions. Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to civil engineering forums. Contribute to the development and review of technical standards and guidelines. Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with technical standards. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies in civil engineering. About You: Essential: Tertiary Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Desirable: Recognition by Engineers Australia. Understanding of civil engineering principles, procedures, and practices, especially within the water industry. Experience in conducting technical investigations, designs, and audits within the Civil & Structural discipline. Ability to provide clear, accurate, and timely technical documentation and support. Interest in adopting new technologies and best practices in civil engineering. Understanding of technical and infrastructure standards, with experience in site audits and compliance checks. Willingness to work flexible hours, including after hours, and travel as required.
