Reporting to the Doorways Regional Manager (DRM), we have an exciting opportunity for a Doorways Case Worker to be responsible for providing case work support to community members who request material assistance and to those who would benefit from more specialized assistance. You will provide support, guidance and encouragement within a case work setting, to community members who are wanting to make positive changes in their life. You will have the ability to explore with community members the deeper issues that have been contributing to their presenting situation, with a view to building longer-term capacity and resilience. We have a permanent full-time, 38 hrs per week position available on the Sunshine Coast, travelling to 4 sites throughout the week (Caloundra, Nambour, Maroochydore, Noosa) with some flexibility to negotiate when these hours are worked across the Monday to Friday working week. You will have A minimum qualification of a Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g. Community Services Work) is required Experience in establishing and developing collaborative networks and partnerships with internal partners and external organisations Demonstrable experience in working with disadvantaged Community Members to assist them to effect positive change in their lives Demonstrate the ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviour, violence and problems associated with substance abuse and mental health issues.
