Overview
Provide nursing services in a variety of health service settings specialising in Stoma care and wound care. Provide specialised nursing services and manage client nursing needs of a defined caseload in a variety of health care settings at a competent to proficient level consolidated by additional study/ exposure and experience in this area. Accepts accountability for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; but one that can act as a professional resource to others. The position supplies advanced knowledge of the health care needs for stoma and complex wound clients and acts as a resource.
