This ongoing position will offer the successful candidate the chance to expand their knowledge and experience by being involved with a wide range of imaging procedures performed in Department.
The Royal Adelaide Hospital is one of Australia's most advanced healthcare facilities.
It is the Major Trauma Centre in South Australia, the Major Spinal Injuries hospital in South Australia and one of the Major Neurosurgery Centres in SA as well.AHP1 RadiographerAt this level, the Radiographer will be responsible for the provision of standard medical imaging services, under the guidance of more experienced radiographers, using specialised equipment to perform diagnostic medical imaging examinations for clients across a range of specialities.The successful candidate will provide assistance to less experienced radiographers, medical radiation students on clinical placement and work experience students.
The Radiographer will contribute to approved research programs and the departmental quality control programs.AHP2 RadiographerAt this level, the Radiographer will be responsible for the provision of more complex Radiography within various modalities, using specialised equipment to perform diagnostic medical imaging examinations for clients across a range of clinical specialities, with minimal professional direction.The successful candidate will provide professional direction to other radiographers, PDY radiographers, undergraduate students on clinical placement and work experience students.
They will also contribute to approved research programs, under professional direction, and departmental quality assurance programs.Educational/Vocational Qualifications for both AHP1 & AHP2: Licensed under the Radiation Protection and Control Act SA (1982)Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification, which entitles a statement of accreditation in Diagnostic Radiography from the Australian Institute of Radiography, or its recognised equivalent (up to July 2012) and then registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (post July 2012).
