Hotel Overview: Holiday Inn Werribee is proudly showcasing the Holiday Inn open lobby concept. Situated in the heart of the Werribee city centre, the hotel occupies the top 4 floors of a mixed-use 12-storey premises and boasts sweeping views right across to the You Yangs and Wyndham Harbour. The hotel offers 150 stylishly appointed guest rooms, a gym, outdoor garden courtyard, all-day dining in our Rosana Bistro & Bar, and versatile conference and events spaces.
A little taste of your day to day:
* Maintaining guest room and public area presentation
* Preventative maintenance of all plant, equipment, and fixtures
* Painting walls, skirting boards, ceilings, and patches plaster work
* Ensuring maintenance workshop is well organised
* Monthly projects assigned by the Maintenance Manager
* Adhering to compliance with Fire, Life, Safety and to maintain a secure hotel at all times
* Attending to outdoor garden courtyard and terrace watering, fertilising, and trimming plants
What we need from you:
* Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a hotel or similar environment
* Trade qualification in painting or carpentry is highly desirable
* Comfortable using tools and equipment
* Computer competency
* Fitness is important as you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel to carry out certain tasks
* Exceptional organisational skills and an ability to follow tasks through to completion
* Ability to work autonomously on tasks and within a team environment
* Well-groomed and professional in appearance
* Commitment with flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and public holidays when required
