Talk to us about how this could work for you.Hours per fortnight73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.DutiesOversee and coordinate the daily operation and maintenance of the Department’s financial management information system, including the development and implementation of system functionality and information integrity to support the budgeting, reporting, accounting and financial operational activities of the agency.Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders of the Department’s FMIS.Develop and implement policy and procedural statements to ensure the efficient operation and administration of the FMIS and ensure compliance with Treasury mandatory reporting requirements.Develop and coordinate user training and support for all FMIS users including the provision of a Help Desk facility and provide and coordinate specialist consultative advice and technical support on financial systems and associated business processes.Provide advice and assist with technical accounting issues and the Department’s chart of accounts, ledger maintenance, reporting features and importing and exporting functions.Undertake high level research and analysis into contemporary financial systems issues and emerging trends in the public and private sectors and manage, or substantially contribute towards, projects associated with software enhancements, upgrades, module implementations, and ongoing support of business applications which affect or interface with the FMIS.Manage the integrity of the General Ledger within the finance system and maintain and review security and access controls to ensure appropriate access to the various systems.Design financial business processes to reflect changes in financial service delivery requirements and configure the FMIS to enable the implementation of business requirements.Project-manage software enhancements, integration and upgrades, business systems improvements and module implementation.Research, design, develop and modify financial reports that assist users to meet operational objectives.Undertake corporate or other projects with significant FMIS implications and other duties as assigned by the Director Finance.Pre-employment ChecksThe Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.The following checks are to be conducted:Arson and fire settingViolent crimes and crimes against the personSex-related offencesDrug and alcohol related offencesCrimes involving dishonestyCrimes involving deceptionMaking false declarationsMalicious damage and destruction to propertySerious traffic offencesCrimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and JusticeCrimes against Executive or the Legislative PowerCrimes involving ConspiracyDisciplinary action in previous employment.Minimum QualificationsRelevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in financial systems management.Knowledge or experience in Technology One Financials.Application ProcessTo apply, please provide a Short Form Application which is a 1-2 page covering letter outlining your experience, skills and knowledge as they relate to the Statement of Duties, and a copy of your current Resumé/CV.
