BLH Technologies, Inc., an award-winning company specializing in public health, communications, technology, and safety monitoring solutions for Federal and commercial clients, seeks an experienced and highly qualified Financial Analyst staff to support the Director and Deputy Director in the financial management of the office.
Duties:
Assist in the development of the annual budget, tracking expenditures, and the preparation and execution of Interagency Fund Transfers and other documents associated with obtaining funding.
Gather comprehensive data, analyze prior year expenditures, and assess current and future year requirements along with associated budgetary implications. Also, draft, and present budgets as requested.
Prepare monthly status reports outlining expenditures to date, by month and budget category, and projected expenditures for the remainder of the fiscal year, by month and budget category. Also, identify any issues related to potential spending overruns or underruns of budget categories. Reports any need to transfer funds to the Director, Deputy Director, and financial staff. Ensures paperwork is received completed, and correct accounts are set up within the financial accounting system.
Review incoming bills to ensure compliance with the authorized contract budget and applicable federal laws and regulations. Ensure all approved bills and invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Requirements:
Master's degree in business or CPA in accounting with exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. Must have strong attention to detail and planning skills. A record of successful financial experience working within the Federal Government environment is needed. Knowledge of Government systems, including those required to process Interagency Fund Transfers and a demonstrated ability to work independently and on collaborative teams is required.
