In this role, you will report to the Principal Planning Lead and play a pivotal part in shaping South Australia's transport future by developing integrated, multi-modal solutions that enhance connectivity, support economic growth, and improve the quality of life for our communities.Your responsibilities will encompass leading and contributing to planning studies, from initial concept development and optioneering through to detailed business case development and reference design.
You will also assist in managing delivery of planning work conducted by external contractors.Collaboration is central to success in this role.
You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies, local councils, industry partners, and community groups, to deliver outcomes that reflect shared priorities.

Do you have strong analytical abilities and communication skills, with experience in assessing transport systems and contributing to the development of transport infrastructure design solutions?This role requires experience in project development, and a strong understanding of relevant design standards, guidelines and policies which govern transport planning process.
Proficiency is transport modelling tools (e.g.
Aimsun, SIDRA), GIS, data analysis and data visualisation is desirable.Stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential, along with a solid appreciation of broader environmental, social, and economic factors which influence the transport project development process.
