Opportunity to join a passionate team of professionals who focus on providing person-centred counselling to children, young people, and adults who have been affected by domestic violence or sexual abuse.
In this role, you'll provide professional brief intervention counselling to victim survivors that assists them to manage the emotional and psychological effects of experiencing family domestic and sexual violence. Working in an integrated service delivery model, you'll deliver a service that is person-centred, evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) max term role for 12 months.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Tertiary degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Counselling or other related discipline
* Experience in working with individuals and families in a therapeutic setting, with an interest in addressing issues related to family and domestic violence and/or trauma
* Understanding of the issues relating to family and domestic violence and child abuse/neglect
* Great interpersonal, rapport building, and communication skills
* Knowledge and application of current theory and practice in relation to Brief Intervention Counselling
* Person-centred, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach to your practice
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check, and a WA Drivers Licence.

* A competitive salary from $96,088 per annum + 11.5% superannuation
* Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
