About the RoleThe Treasury Risk team provides independent oversight of Traded Market Risk, IRRBB, Treasury Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Liquidity Stress Testing, Transfer Pricing, and Operational Risks related to Suncorp's Treasury and Banking activities.
The Liquidity Analyst role is responsible for ensuring robust oversight of Suncorp Bank's traded and non-traded market risk frameworks by:
Accurately measuring, monitoring, analysing, and reporting liquidity risk to meet both internal and regulatory requirements in a timely manner.Supporting the effective measurement and reporting of these risks by managing revaluation rates, reference rates, yield curves, volatility, and correlation factors.Role Location: Brisbane QLD Role Type: 12 month opportunity, Full time What will your day look like?As a Senior Traded Market Risk Analyst, you are responsible for:
A relevant postgraduate degree is required (e.g., Mathematics, Applied Science, Applied Finance, Economics).Strong experience in risk management, quantitative analysis, or financial research, with exposure to a range of financial instruments, risk management frameworks, systems, and controls.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster relationships with stakeholders.Strong numerical skills.Ability to contribute openly with team and identify and report ways of improving team processes and methodologies.Analytical and problem-solving capacity with ability to work independently.Ability to deal with tight deadlines and manage demands associated with variable workloads.High degree of computer literacy, in particular solid Microsoft Excel skills.Practices inclusion and values diversity.Knowledge of financials and general risk and compliance procedures.Knowledge of banking and financial industry, banking divisions and their operation.What will you bring?To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Extensive experience in control execution, risk management, and compliance frameworks.Strong leadership and strategic management capabilities, with the ability to drive operational excellence across multiple teams.Ability to identify risks and implement effective control measures to mitigate them.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse business units.Proven ability to manage staff performance, readiness, and accreditation.You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
