Working for a smaller government department, the team delivers digitally enabled, whole-of-government services to the Queensland public. This role ensures the ongoing support, maintenance, and optimal operational performance of technology infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior ICT Operations Specialist, you will:Oversee, monitor, and support all aspects of technical infrastructure, including virtual and physical servers, networks, and ICT security, providing 2nd and 3rd level support as required.Provide guidance and mentorship to teammates to enhance service improvement, identify dependencies and constraints, and implement technology and process improvements.Ensure ongoing service delivery by managing workflows and addressing complex or escalated issues.Monitor and maintain systems and infrastructure to ensure high performance and availability.Analyse data and statistics for business reporting, offering recommendations to improve service delivery, technical performance, and capacity planning.Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, addressing supply issues with vendors and escalating performance concerns in service level agreements.Create and maintain technical documentation as required.Participate in after-hours work when necessary, such as server OS patching.About YouTechnical Skills & ExperienceExpertise in Microsoft Azure and O365 product support.Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud deployment and management.Experience with Microsoft Server administration (MCSE certification desirable).Practical knowledge of Microsoft SCCM, Intune, and SharePoint.Understanding of LAN, DHCP, and DNS network configurations.Familiarity with ITIL Service Management practices.Awareness of Modern Workplace best practices from a technical perspective.To be considered please click apply now, or contact David Reynolds on 07 3221 3333.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionData Security Software Products
