We have Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Infant and Paediatric Mental Health specialists and a Paediatrician who work together to strive for the best outcomes for children and their families.Lively Eaters has Centres in Adelaide (Kensington) and the Adelaide Hills (Littlehampton) and provides services statewide and nationally via telehealth facilities.Lively Eaters is committed to understanding the ‘whole family’ dynamic in order to assess and assist families with children’s mealtime challenges. As such it strives to provide therapeutic services to meet the needs of each individual family unit, rather than assimilating families into ‘set programs’.Purpose / About the jobProvide high-level clinical Dietetics and leadership, across the continuum of care, within Lively Eaters Feeding Therapy as a member of the Dietetics and multidisciplinary team. The Discipline Senior Dietitian (Paediatrics) is required to assess, diagnose and manage feeding disorders, enterally fed children and fussy eaters in the context of a community setting (clinic, home) and at times as part of the intensive program in an acute hospital setting or other community venue. In addition, the discipline senior is responsible for the ongoing supervision and mentoring of our Dietetics team, clinical education and the advancement and ongoing quality improvement and development of the Dietetics service.This role will incorporate working from our Kensington and Littlehampton Centres as well as a work-from-home day.Key responsibilitiesIndependently deliver high-level, contemporary paediatric Dietetic clinical services and Feeding Therapy integrating high-level knowledge across a broad range of clinical areas with a varied and complex caseload with infrequent clinical practice supervision.Manage an allocated caseload to deliver feeding therapy, nutrition and dietetic services commensurate with experience (including screening, assessment, intervention and evaluation) across the continuum of care, within a multidisciplinary team and in accordance with professional and ethical standards.Provide high-level clinical practice supervision, consultation and leadership to Dietitians, therapy assistants, Dietetic and Allied Health students.Direct the development and delivery of advanced evidence-based paediatric Dietetics, feeding therapy and multidisciplinary clinical practices.Ensure that clinical service delivery is enhanced by on-going professional development and is conducted in accordance with the principles of evidence-based practice within a family-focused framework.Use high-level communication skills to collaboratively support and mentor all members of the paediatric Dietetics team.Ensure timely and accurate reporting of clinical recommendations, email follow-up, client queries and Business reporting requirements.Accurately and concisely record all patient interaction including face-to-face, email and phone contacts.Mandatory Qualifications/Professional Registration/Other RequirementsThe possession of a tertiary degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, providing eligibility for Australian Practicing Dietitian (APD) status.Current and high-level knowledge, expertise and skills in paediatric Dietetics assessment and treatment recommendations.Competency and experience in the management of paediatric feeding disorders, tube-fed children and nutritional analysis/recommendations is essential.Proven competency and experience in team leadership, clinical supervision and service development.Current DCSI Working with Children clearance which must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.Current NDIS Worker Screening.Current Reporting Abuse and Neglect (RAN) certificate which must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.Current First Aid Certificate which must be maintained throughout the duration of employment.You will be responsible for your own professional indemnity insurance.You must be eligible for a Medicare Provider number and be eligible for registration with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIS).Summary of role requirements:Looking for candidates available to work:Monday: Morning, AfternoonTuesday: Morning, AfternoonWednesday: Morning, AfternoonThursday: Morning, AfternoonFriday: Morning, AfternoonMore than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role.Working rights required for this role.Expected start date for role: 15 January 2025.Expected salary: $116,000 - $123,000 per year.
