Job Title: Product Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to join our Asset Management division in Sydney.
The ideal candidate will have a background in funds management, preferably in Product Development/Management from another leading global asset management company. We are targeting candidates with 5-10 years' experience, with added priority given to those who can adapt quickly to this role and assume necessary responsibilities.
This is a permanent position within our Sydney offices, considering applicants with full and indefinite working rights only. We offer an above-market remuneration package and seek applicants with a proven track record in this arena.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development
* Conduct intensive market research to identify strategic asset classes, product structures, and distribution methods for successful new product launches.
* Develop existing and new investment solutions for Wholesale and Institutional Distribution channels, aligning with business strategy and producing a roadmap for product evolution/new products.
* Research industry and competitor trends to support sales teams and ensure success when launching new investment offerings.
* Integrate with the product and strategic marketing function, regionally and globally, to keep the Australian business informed about relevant projects and initiatives.
* Create offer documents and supporting marketing material for new onshore products.
2. Strategic Analysis
* Perform competitor analysis and benchmarking using external databases such as eVestment, Preqin, Rainmaker, and Morningstar Workstation to strengthen competitive edge on sustainability.
* Research and promote connectivity within the client network to identify relevant, competitive, and in-demand strategies for the Australian and New Zealand market.
* Research industry, market, and competitor trends to support sales teams and ensure success when defending existing strategies.
* Collaborate with Product Marketing teams in other locations on ways to enhance and streamline competitor analysis from a product marketing perspective.
3. Business Development
* Coordinate the RFP/RFI process for prospects, researchers, and consultants.
* Coordinate wholesale researcher and platform questionnaires, including the researcher rating process.
* Attend client/prospect/researcher meetings with the sales team as required to support from a strategic product and sustainability perspective.
* Assist the Head of Marketing & Distribution team in coordination and development of marketing materials.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications, undergraduate degree minimum.
* Strictly 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.
* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with effective communication at all levels.
* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
* Ability to work flexible hours and manage time effectively.
