As part of an expert group that includes Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Allied Health Specialists, and Transitional Nurse Practitioners, you will provide individualised, case-managed care aimed at maximising health outcomes within a multidisciplinary framework.In this role, you will utilise advanced clinical skills to assess, plan, organise, evaluate, and deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to each patient’s needs. You will collaborate with Hunter New England Health Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services to support primary treating teams for patients with substance use issues, while also providing a Drug and Alcohol Consultation Liaison service to emergency departments, inpatient wards, and outpatient clinics. Your contributions will help shape specialty clinical practices and service delivery, and you will have the opportunity to deliver in-service training to enhance clinical staff’s understanding and competence in managing substance dependence. We offer a comprehensive orientation and ongoing external education opportunities, along with full support from our team, including mentorship from a Clinical Supervisor and access to monthly DACS education sessions.
