These are an estimated 6-month temporary assignments, with a strong potential to extend.Working within the Clinical Operations Sector, you will be responsible for the provision of work, health and safety knowledge and advice services to portfolio clients including frontline workers, to maintain a safe workplace, add value to business units and achieve performance expectations. You will play a pivotal role in contributing to operational delivery of key work, health and safety programs including the launch of a new safety strategy, implementation of a new safety management system aligned to ISO45001 and 45003, delivery of a key risk and critical control framework and targeted programs for operational risks.ResponsibilitiesCultivate, foster and promote a safety-focused workforceDrive and lead safety engagement across clinical operationsMaintain up-to-date, thorough understanding of WHS policies and procedures throughout the operational environmentCoach and implement WHS programs in consultation with the Manager, Safety PartneringBuild workforce WHS capability including ways to identify and monitor safetyReview and revise all current operational WHS documentationDevelop and implement training communication and promotion on new safety systems to deliver measurable safety improvementsContribute to and deliver programs to reduce risks, injuries and illness whilst improving WHS performanceEstablish and maintain effective business partnerships through customer engagementPartner with managers to conduct routine audits, generating reports on WHS issues and trendsFacilitate WHS training across the workforce, maintaining accurate recordsComplete safety risk assessments, incident investigations, reporting and recording of incidentsAttend to safety incidents after hours, as requiredParticipate in the preparation, review and delivery of WHS StrategyEnsure compliance with best practice and all Workcover requirementsAbout youImpeccable communication skills, both verbal and writtenExceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levelsHigh attention to detailSuperior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise competing deadlinesStrong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suiteRequirementsTertiary qualifications in Health Sciences, Human Movement, Sport Science or an equivalent fieldCertificate IV in OHSMinimum 3 years’ experience in Work, Health and Safety within a Health or Emergency Services environment advantageousProven risk assessment and implementation of controls experienceValid Drivers licence and ability to travel, as required.Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.Flexible to commence and commit to the duration of the assignmentHow to ApplyApplications will be reviewed within 48 hours of the job posting.
