Reporting to the Transport Supervisor, the position includes the following responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with all of SCT's WHS policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation
* Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving HME, pallet jacks
* Ability to use technology and scanners
* Application of load restraint to freight loads
* Manual handling of freight items
* Handling and storing load restraint equipment
* Inspecting and controlling equipment to identify wear and damage
* Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when orders are made up
* Transporting goods to designated areas in warehouses and shipping terminals
* Monitoring equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerized monitoring equipment

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Experience & knowledge of warehouse and transport industries
* HC License required
* Experience in warehouse in a cross-dock facility environment
* Experience in a freight scanning environment
* Stocking of freight
* Prestart checks - Vehicle 360 checks, HME maintenance, tyre pressures, cleanliness of HME
* Safety compliance
* Sound knowledge of local areas
