Mount Isa Mines is seeking suitably qualified and experienced applicants for the role of Senior – Data Analyst. Reporting to the Superintendent – Production Planning, in this role you will work collaboratively with the Smelting & Refining Operational teams to identify, analyse, and deliver improvements and reports to support the optimisation of the business in line with the vision of ensuring a long-term sustainable business.

The Role
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Conduct financial analysis of the current operations.
2. Evaluate the financial benefits of projects.
3. Identification of opportunities to increase revenue or reduce costs in the business.
4. Development of reports and presentations for Management.
5. Assistance in the development of life-of-asset scenarios and annual production and cost budgets.
6. Coaching operational personnel to upskill the organisations analytical capabilities.
The successful applicants will have:
1. Tertiary qualifications in engineering or computer science.
2. Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
3. Extensive experience in business analysis.
4. Ability to build effective partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders.
5. Ability to effectively communicate.
6. A high level of independence and intrinsic motivation, but able to effectively work in a team.
7. Proficiency across software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, MySQL, Power BI Data Modelling, DAX, Tableau, Power Apps, Power Automate, SAP, PI system and SharePoint would be desirable.
