About the Role
As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of production and corporate facilities by maintaining stock levels, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing the procurement process.
* Purchasing consumables, PPE, and materials essential to daily plant operations
* Monitoring stock levels and forecasting future needs based on production changes
* Managing purchase orders, supplier contracts, and delivery timelines
* Ensuring compliance with Australian standards and maintaining accurate purchasing records
* Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to address issues and ensure timely deliveries
* Assisting with invoicing, reporting, and end-of-year stocktake processes
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with strong data entry and organizational skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and an eye for detail
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
* A self-motivated, adaptable, and independent work style
* Integrity and a commitment to upholding safety and compliance standards
* Experience in purchasing or procurement within a production environment is a bonus
