This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering team within Melba, embarking on an inspiring new service in Traralgon. Melba will provide SIL support to three NDIS Participants living in their own home. We are seeking dedicated people committed to supporting people to live a personally fulfilling life. The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate: A commitment to supporting people as individuals. A commitment to encouraging and facilitating people to have choice and control within their own homes. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with others. Ability to form and maintain relationships with people with disabilities, their families, friends, staff, and any others who are involved in the individual's lives. A genuine commitment to promoting self-advocacy, human rights, and person-centered practices. A track record of effectively working within a dynamic team environment Experience in or willingness to learn the skills required in providing personal care support to people in all areas of their lives. What You’ll do Implement support plans based on supported persons needs, preferences and interests Help with all aspects of daily living from getting up in the morning to going to bed at night Aid people to get to their chosen activities like social events, work and appointments Promote personal choice and control for the person Assist with personal care & hygiene and household duties like cleaning, cooking, and washing Administer medication Qualifications and Experience A passion for enabling and working with people Desire for meaningful work and comfortable providing people with daily living support Willingness to learn new skills, undertake ongoing training Willingness to work as part of a team You will also bring with you or be willing to obtain: NDIS Worker screening Check Working with Children Check Unrestricted Australian Driver’s License Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status, including booster Current First Aid Certificate with CPR Why Join Us?
