It is purpose-designed for Urgent Care, and has the following features:Dedicated Nursing and Administration supportPrivate urgent care triage roomDedicated treatment bedsPrivate GP consult roomDesigned for ambulance and low-mobility accessSecurity and duress alarm systemsA designated resuscitation area with defibrillator, airway management equipment, ECG machine, mobile bed, IV fluid resuscitation equipment, and emergency medicationsA dedicated area for treating fractures and plasteringOn-site parkingShared facilities including meeting rooms and tea rooms.The Clinic is equipped to treat problems including:Minor illnesses (including respiratory illness, gastrointestinal illness, urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted infections)Minor injuries including closed fractures, simple lacerations, simple eye injuries and minor burnsWound management including gluing, suturing and dressings (including for minor burns)Incision and drainage of abscessesBasic fracture management including application of backslabs and plastersIntravenous cannula insertion to allow for IV antibiotics and IV rehydration fluidsUrinary catheter management and changes for males and femalesRemoval of foreign bodies from the ear and noseOnsite imaging and Ultrasound (coming soon)Onsite PathologyThe clinic has extended opening hours, weekdays 8am – 10pm and Saturday and Sunday 9am – 6pm.Key requirements: Strong background in general practice, with a passion for providing high-quality, patient-centred careHolds a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Specialist General PractitionerExperience in urgent care or emergency medicineFRACGP or FACRRMAdvanced Skills Training in Emergency Medicine preferredBasic Life Support (BLS) or advanced life support (ALS) preferredJob Type: Permanent - Full TimeHours: Available weekends - Saturday and Sunday, 9am – 6pm on a rotating roster basis.
