If you’re looking to be part of a forward-thinking team where your work makes a real impact, this is your opportunity to join us on our journey of transformation.About the roleAs the Team Leader Buildings Design and Delivery, you will play an integral role in shaping and delivering high-quality building infrastructure for the community. Responsible for leading the Buildings Capital Works Program, you will ensure that projects are designed, planned, and delivered effectively, sustainably, and in alignment with Council’s strategic plan.Other responsibilities include:Contract Management & Compliance: Administer contracts, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with legislative and Council procurement requirements.Project Development & Delivery: Lead the successful execution of capital works projects, ensuring alignment with project governance frameworks and financial policies.Stakeholder & Contractor Engagement: Facilitate meetings, briefings, and collaborations with contractors and stakeholders to ensure project milestones and community needs are met.Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports on project feasibility, funding, progress, and capital expenditure to support decision-making.Strategic Planning & Partnerships: Develop partnerships with government and external organizations, oversee building compliance matters, and contribute to capital works planning.Leadership: Lead and support a small team of engineers and project manager professionals, as well as manage contractors.About youYou are an experienced leader with expertise in building project development, planning and contract management. You excel in delivering high-quality building design projects and developing pro-active and practical management systems.The following is also required:Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or relevant discipline with several years experience OR lesser formal qualification with extensive experience.Substantial experience delivering and providing specialist advice for building project development, planning and management.Experience in contract management and leading tendering processes.Significant experience in managing staff and/or contractors.Not meeting all the requirements for this role?
