Our client in Victoria is currently seeking Specialist Anaesthetists to join their dynamic peri-operative team.
They are looking to expand and enhance their anaesthesia services. This opportunity is ideal for newly qualified Fellows who will benefit from a supportive environment to establish their consultant roles and explore both clinical and non-clinical areas of interest, as well as experienced specialists seeking a new challenge/change. The Department provides anaesthetic services across a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, dental, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics, urology, gastroenterology, endoscopy, and psychiatry.
The hospital is equipped with seven operating theatres and is supported by a 10-bed Critical Care Unit, staffed by Fellows of the College of Intensive Care Medicine.
The Anaesthesia Department consists of fourteen Specialist Anaesthetists and is accredited for ANZCA training.
There are eight registrars, most of whom are part of the Victorian Regional Anaesthetic Training Network and the Eastern Victoria rotational training scheme.
The department actively supports the training of registrars and junior doctors, and works with Acute Pain Nurse Consultants and a Research Coordinator with strong connections to the ANZCA CTN.
A key aspect of this role is contributing to service development.
An interest in acute and transitional pain or perioperative medicine would be highly desirable.
Additionally, there are opportunities to collaborate closely with the Research Department and affiliated Universities within the health service.
