Remuneration: from $93,023.34 (inclusive of 11.5% super, depending on qualifications)
About The Role We are looking for a committed and collaborative Work Education Teacher to join the Youth and Work Education team at the Bendigo City campus as a trainer and assessor. In this role, you will support students with mild intellectual disability in developing confidence, communication skills, and practical knowledge to prepare them for employment and greater independence.
Through the Work Education, Transition Education, and Initial Adult Literacy and Numeracy courses, you will create an inclusive learning environment that builds students' skills in learning, social interaction, and workplace readiness. You'll be part of a highly supportive team that shares knowledge openly and works cohesively to support student success.
The programs you will teach and assess are a critical part of Bendigo Kangan Institute's offering. They provide a pathway into the workforce for some students and for others help develop literacy, numeracy and community skills. Accordingly, an Inclusive Education teaching qualification would be beneficial in the role, although this is not essential.
