Due to continued growth in the Construction Industry in Tasmania, we are seeking a team player dedicated to coordination of construction sites to assist in successful delivery of projects.
About the Opportunity
Our client, a Tasmanian based, privately owned company, is seeking experienced Site Managers for projects in Southern Tasmania to continue providing high quality and reliability to their clients.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the scheduling of site activities, hiring of workforce and supervision of site tasks. Aside from coordinating work flows, you will be responsible for troubleshooting any issues during construction. For instance, you will liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time and work progresses as expected. You make reports to clients. You also review building practices to verify compliance with health and safety standards and project management procedures.
About You
This role is ideal for experienced Site Managers with extensive experience in negotiating with contractors to ensure the construction work adheres to the stipulated budgets. You will possess a proven track record of successful site management and utilise your communication skills to liaise with subcontractors, residents and your workforce whilst following directions from the Project Management Team.
To be considered for the role, you must:
1. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
2. Certificate III in Carpentry and/or Joinery or Relevant Trade Certificate
3. Sound understanding and adherance Workplace Health & Safety legislation
4. Ability to transition from office based duties to onsite work
5. Possess a high level literacy, numeracy and computer skills
6. Be a team player with excellent communication skills
7. Be able to undertake tasks autonomously
8. Hold a current drivers licence and have reliable form of transport
