About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead Developer to join our Digital Strategy and Channels (DSC) team.
The Digital Channel Operations team within DSC manages the University's public-facing websites, applications, design system, and content management system (CMS).
The team has a broad leadership and delivery role across UX Design, Development and Operations.
As a Lead (Full Stack) Developer, you will lead in the following areas:
Development team leadershipFull stack developmentYou will play a pivotal role in enhancing the University's digital presence, ensuring a seamless user experience across our diverse digital platforms.
This position offers the opportunity to lead a talented team and contribute to impactful digital transformation projects.
Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing the evolution and upkeep of the university's design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across digital platforms.
This includes collaborating with digital product managers, designers and CMS developers to implement new components, refine existing patterns, and ensure that the design system supports the institution's branding and accessibility standards.Lead a team of front and backend developers, including oversight of their work, technical upskilling, and prioritisationLead for development, code reviews, code quality, and support required for maintaining and improving existing applications and websitesWork closely with UX designers and the CMS team as required to produce beautiful, accessible, usable, and reliable web applicationsWho we are looking for: Technical leadership experienceStrong collaboration skills working with agile product teamsRuby on RailsManaging data through APIsMinimum Requirements: This role requires the successful candidate to undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
