About the Role
The Manager: Financial Business Partnering is responsible for managing and enhancing the delivery of the financial business advisory service to the Professional Units of the University. The position is expected to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders of the University including senior staff. You will lead and manage a team of professional business partners driving the identification and implementation of strategic initiatives that will improve the finance service delivery and efficiency of the finance function in the University.

The Finance Unit is committed to implementing effective financial and commercial practices to support the University’s needs. Essential Skills and Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in a finance related discipline and membership of CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
* Demonstrated breadth and depth of knowledge and experience with a wide range of financial and accrual accounting structures, principles and practices
* Proven capability in implementing strategies to improve the delivery of a finance function within an organisation
* Extensive experience to working with a large/complex general ledger system
* Demonstrated experience leading and managing professional and skilled staff
* Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
