The role: As the Residential Aged Care Manager (Registered Nurse), you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the facility, providing leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring a high level of care for the residents while maintaining compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations. Your ability to manage and enhance the stability established by the previous Manager will be key to the continued success of the facility.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the aged care facility.Lead and inspire a team of nurses, carers, and support staff to deliver exceptional care to residents.Ensure the ongoing development and implementation of care plans tailored to individual resident needs.Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure the facility meets all legislative and accreditation standards.Monitor the facility's financial performance and resource management to ensure sustainability.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality care, and team collaboration.Build and maintain strong relationships with families, residents, and external stakeholders.Position requirements: Current AHPRA registration as a RN.Minimum 4-5 years Senior Management/Facility Management experience in Residential Aged Care is essential.Proven ability to negotiate, manage and operate within an annual operating budget.Ability to identify and maintain effective risk and quality management processes consistent with the organisation's Quality Improvement Plan.Knowledge of Accreditation Standards and legislative requirements.Understanding of strengthened Aged Care Quality standards.Understanding of AN-ACC funding requirements.Ability to provide leadership and direction to the clinical team, fostering a culture of kindness, compassion, and empathy.Proven experience around recruitment, training, motivating and retaining skilled care professionals dedicated to delivering person-centered care.Confidence and maturity to work autonomously and make decisions in an ever-changing environment.On offer for this position is a competitive salary, commensurate with size of home and opportunity to work with a trailblazing aged care employer that will provide excellent support and career opportunities.
