Annually, the RCH has 300,000+ Specialist Clinic appointments, 90,000+ Emergency Department presentations and 20,000 elective surgeries.RCH enjoys high employee engagement and is committed to staff safety and a positive culture through enactment of our Compact.About This Role: This is a Grade 2, Fixed-Term, Part-Time position at 45.6 hours/0.6 FTE per fortnight within the Physiotherapy Department until 2nd November 2025. You will be working within the neurosciences stream where the current clinical vacancy exists within the area of oncology. Some changes in clinical area allocation may occur to achieve best fit across the stream. All staff within the neurosciences stream are involved in working across other areas of the stream at times, including acute respiratory, neuromuscular weakness, brain injury, epilepsy, neonatal care, neurosurgery, neurology, developmental care, neural tube defects, bone health, plagiocephaly, aquatic therapy and concussion management. Service delivery within other Physiotherapy streams may be required to meet workforce demands as directed by the manager.Classification for this position will range from VB1 to VB4 (FTE base salary $88,467 to $101,691 per annum, plus superannuation).What You'll Achieve: Provide clinical care, advice and education in line with clinical guidelines and evidence relevant to the patient's conditions and clinical needs.Ensure timely provision of physiotherapy services through appropriate prioritisation of own caseload, that of junior staff, as well as patient needs.Work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to establish common goals and to develop and offer best care to children and families, ensuring that patient care is integrated and effective.Identify personal and professional development needs, and plan and implement strategies for achieving them.Your Skills and Experience: Hold a Physiotherapy degree qualification and registration to practice as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA.Have experience working in an acute tertiary and/or acute paediatric environment.Sound problem solving and conflict resolution skills and the ability to apply these in practice.Demonstrated skills and experience in areas of physiotherapy practice relevant to the clinical stream.If this sounds like you, click here to view the position description.About The Department: The Physiotherapy Department is a vibrant community of individuals who share a commitment to ongoing learning and partnering with families in the provision of evidence-based care.
