Our technicians specialise in Flood, Fire, Mould, Carpet and Textile cleaning with state-of-the-art equipment. They pride themselves in delivering the highest quality, professional and timely services, operating mostly between the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers.
The Role
The role of a Carpet Cleaning and Restoration Technician is providing labour for remediation and restoration services for domestic and commercial properties. The technician will be scheduled to restore properties to pre-loss condition affected by water, fire and/or mould. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail and pride in their work.
Due to the nature of the business, this role will be required to be on-call for 1 week, once a month. On-call includes weekend call outs if needed.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Carpet Cleaning, Carpet & Fabric Protection, Window Coverings, Upholstery Cleaning, Stain Removal, Water Damages, Tile & Grout.
* Travel to varying sites in between the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers
* Liaise with Project Coordinators to complete designated work.
* Complete reports and inventory accurately and in a timely manner.
* Perform remediation & restoration works, including equipment installation and monitoring.
* Adhere to company guidelines on Quality, Customer Service and Safety
* Emergency response, mitigation and clean-up of properties damaged by fire, water, and mould.
* Physically fit for demolition duties and for heavy lifting
* Any prior experience in mitigation work including structural drying, Report writing, setting up equipment, water extraction, is highly regarded.
* Be available for on-call emergency work allocation (weekends & overtime).
Qualifications & Experience
* Ability to exhibit high attention to detail ensuring the highest quality of workmanship throughout restoration projects.
* Ability to perform water damage and fire cleaning tasks whilst being able to complete reports, scopes, and quotations to a high level.
* Understand and execute work orders in a timely and professional manner.
* Ability to operate efficiently with minimum supervision.
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High Standard of customer service
* Willingness to participate in all training as needed or required.
* Follow established safety rules and regulations.
* Ability to provide claims officers with accurate information related to the progress and status of projects in a timely manner.
* Must hold a valid manual driver's license
* IICRC Certification (Cleaning and Restoration Certification) is a plus.
* Occasional remote and disaster work
