The Utilities Project Engineer role is designed to be fully functional in the 4-Day work week trial.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Utilities & Project Lead, the Utilities Project Engineer is a member of the Engineering Team responsible for utilities savings & project support at Unilever’s Ice Cream Factory in Minto. The Utilities Project Engineer is responsible for management of energy monitoring systems, ensuring energy savings projects are delivered on time and within budget while also being able to plan and provide technical advice where needed.
Role Responsibilities:
* Manage the mapping of energy meters and install new ones on requirement basis.
* Accountable for energy monitoring system & energy meters proper working.
* Ensuring payments for electricity supply, gas supply, trade waste plant bills are processed on time.
* Lead and implement energy savings Projects.
* Lending hand for ongoing projects on need basis in line with the Minto Site Master Plan.
* Manage project scope, cost, schedule, risk, quality, communications and change controls.
* Manage all factory technical change and development ensuring performance, cost, safety and quality targets are met.
* Work with the Minto Factory Leadership team to deliver excellent service in supporting production, maintenance and technical projects across production lines and mixing plants.
* Implement regular reviews to evaluate progress against master plan.
* Build effective relationships with Operations Leaders to aid identification of key improvement areas across production lines and mixing plants.
* Conduct, participate in and review risk assessments for new equipment or processes.
Manage contractors onsite ensuring safety, quality and environmental compliance along with SHE & central sustainability team.

* Tertiary qualified in Engineering
* Strong experience in the manufacturing industry
* Should possess basic understanding of air compressors, boilers, heat exchangers, knowing Ammonia refrigeration plant is an advantage
* Experience in utilities is desirable
* Experience in implementation of energy savings ideas
* Utility maintenance
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills
* Exceptional planning and communications skills
* Strong stakeholder management skills
