The Role: Mancala are seeking a qualified Metallurgical and Materials Technician to test, analyse, and improve the extraction, processing, and performance of metals and minerals.
This role focuses on ensuring quality control, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards in mining processes.
This role is ideally suited for local candidates based near Tallimba, Ardlethan, Moombooldool, Kamarah, Beckom, Walleroobie, Mirrool, Cowbabbie, Coolamon, Landervale and surrounding regions and would ideally suit a local candidate.
Key Responsibilities: • Assist in developing metallurgical test programs and evaluating processing strategies.
• Coordinate sample collection, testing schedules, and data analysis.
• Support process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing metal recovery and efficiency.
• Conduct metallurgical tests to assess characteristics, process efficiency, and product quality.
• Provide technical support to improve plant performance and metal extraction rates.
• Work with operations teams to troubleshoot processing issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure the chemical composition of metal products meets industry standards.
• Supervise metallurgical production processes, to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and standards.
• Perform Metallurgical Failure analysis.
• Perform metallurgical and chemical analyses to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Assist in maintaining quality control procedures for processing and refining operations.
• Monitor metallurgical performance indicators and report deviations.
Qualifications and Experience: • Degree Qualifications in Material Science & Engineering, or similar • Minimum Three (3) years' experience in Metallurgical and Materials • Intermediate Microsoft office skills (specifically Excel and MS Project) • Demonstrated ability to succeed in delivering a project.
