Services bring together evidence from research with an understanding of people's lived experience-what works for them. We provide a public, clinical, mental health drug and alcohol service for people living in the Barwon region (Including Greater Geelong, the Bellarine, Surf Coast and Colac-Otway regions).About the roleThe Co-Director Operations - Mental Health, Drugs and Alcohol Services (Co-Director - MHDAS), is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer for strategic and operational leadership of the directorate and contributing to the achievement of the Directorate's and Barwon Health's Strategic Plan and objectives. The Co-Director - MHDAS works collaboratively with the Clinical Director - MHDAS and is responsible for the development of service plans and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Working in partnership with the Clinical Director, charged with the responsibility of service delivery across MHDAS and the management of the Directorate's budget within delegations of authority.Key Accountabilities:Work within a triumvirate consisting of the Clinical Director, Co-Director - MHDAS and Business Manager to achieve strategic prioritiesProvide governance within the Directorate and across Barwon Health to manage staff operational issues within the Directorate with the relevant head of unit or line managerProvide operational leadership of the Directorate, including budget managementProvide daily operational leadership of the Directorate, including the operational performance, the implementation and management of service plans, care delivery, quality leadership, education and training, safety and quality, human resources, promoting clinical standards and governance, patient access and flow, achieving the Directorate KPIs, and managing the Directorate budget within the delegations of authorityEnsuring a focus on the patient/consumer is at the core of all services providedAbout the cultureYou will have the opportunity to be part of a highly skilled, professional and dedicated team who take pride in providing high quality services.
