The Opportunity

We are seeking a self-directed and motivated individual to join our team and provide electrical & maintenance support to ensure the effective daily operations of our large timber joinery manufacturing plant located in Unanderra, NSW.
This role will be the perfect fit if you are a qualified electrician, with proven experience in commercial and industrial settings, skilled in 3-phase and high voltage electrical work and looking for the opportunity to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for ensuring the electrical and mechanical components of the plant operate reliably and safely with minimal downtime. Preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics, installations, repairs and servicing, commissioning and testing will all form part of this dynamic role.

* Maintenance experience
* Proven experience with PLCs – operating and fault finding
* Strong understanding and knowledge of all relevant Australian Standards
* Demonstrated knowledge of heavy industrial electrical commissioning work
* Driver’s licence and good driving record
* Demonstrated ability to work in a safe and responsible manner
* Contractor’s Licence preferred
* Previous experience maintaining Homag or other timber joinery workshop machinery
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge of 33KVA input
* Forklift and EWP Boom Crane ticket
* General fabrication knowledge
* Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
