About the role:
We are looking for a Group Controls Engineer to oversee projects developing and supporting process control, automation, and data reporting systems at our manufacturing sites across Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, and Queensland. This role will involve travel to each site to ensure effective implementation and integration.
* Automation and process control systems development and support
* Leadership and frontline support in plant floor Functional Safety systems and upgrades according to AS4024 standards. This includes design, specification, programming, simulation, testing and commissioning of projects.
* Ensuring installed equipment standards are fit for purpose, compliant and focus on long term risk reduction.
* Benchmark and uplift instrumentation and control and automation systems to align to company standards
* Develop strong IT/OT relationships to support best practice plant floor data capture and reporting systems.
* Mentoring and assistance to site teams in control systems best practice, upgrades and troubleshooting.
* End to end project management of nominated capital projects
* Support of capital budgeting and expenditure processes
What you bring to the role
* Degree qualification in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, having an electrical license is highly desirable.
* 10+ years in a continuous process manufacturing environment
* Functional Safety TUV qualifications (training can be provided)
* Highly proficient in Rockwell PLC (Studio 5000), Factorytalk View, Transaction manager
* MES experience for integrating corporate and factory data systems.
* Networks, virtual and SQL data server infrastructure
* Project Management PMBoK or similar
* Relationship builder with track record of strong stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
* Ability to provide strong technical leadership and mentoring.
