Permanent, Full-time position with a Fortnightly RDOBand 8 Salary $113,068 to $125,539 per annum plus superAn exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic close-knit, high pace Assets teamThe RoleThe Principal Asset Management Engineer position will oversee a strategic team tasked with the development and implementation of Asset Management Plans, modelling long-term infrastructure demands, and overseeing associated projects and actions. This role has evolved with a growing team in response to population growth, expansion of the city and its built environment with associated services, and a focus on sustainable practices.This position will:Provide asset management expertise and reports to the organisation, striving for best practice policies and procedures.Identify and support the implementation of asset management improvements across the organisation.Establish positive work relationships across the organisation to ensure data and systems associated with asset management are being best utilised.Provide leadership for asset planning and integration across the organisation.Identify and provide recommendations related to asset management team business planning and asset management objectives, supporting teams to achieve KPIs.Ensure asset management functions can be undertaken within budget and in accordance with relevant policies (i.e. Procurement Policy).To represent the organisation at regional and national asset management working groups, forums, conferences, and meetings as approved.About YouAn experienced asset management practitioner with engineering qualifications, ready to step up into a team leadership role. You excel at building relationships, influencing across departments, and fostering collaboration to achieve organisational goals.Ability to develop, support, and lead teams will be highly valued, crucial to improving asset management practices. Ideally, experience in local government or a similar environment with a deep understanding of infrastructure asset planning, data management, and lifecycle modelling.Key Selection CriteriaTertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Extensive relevant experience in Asset Management, preferably in strategic asset planning.Experience in the administration of an asset management information systems, preferably in a local government context.Proven extensive experience in leading an asset management and/or multi-disciplined team.Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to foster positive working relationships across an organisation.Excellent communication skills, with experience in writing in the local government context.Experience in the administration of an asset management tools/systems within a local government context.Demonstrated ability to analyse data to produce useful reports and provide evidence driven outcomes.To ApplyTo apply for this position please click the Apply button and submit your application.
