This role is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual that desires to develop a career in Client Coverage (Distribution) in asset management.
The role will support the Australian Intermediary Client Coverage team in a broad range of administrative and business development activities to help reach the team's key milestones.The successful candidate will have a keen interest in financial markets and investment management plus the ability to own and manage a range of demands and also multi-tasks.
The role involves supporting the Intermediary Relationship Managers, maintaining the CRM, coordinating sales and marketing campaigns and servicing client queries.
The role also entails constructing presentations and compiling competitor and client intelligence.Together we will continue to build a client-focused, collaborative and dynamic sales culture.What you will be responsible forAs Intermediary Client Services Officer, you will:Support Intermediary Relationship Managers in Sales activities which include (but not limited to): assistance with client service and follow up work, portfolio and competitor analysis, CRM maintenance, meeting preparation and co-ordination, and administrative support.Become an expert in Salesforce to drive sales efficiency and effectiveness – including managing contact details, data accuracy and sales/ marketing segment lists.General team administration.Own the co-ordination of responses to retail clients and our outsourced client relations providers.Build and maintain successful relationships with a broad range of clients, including financial advisers, IFAs, brokers, private wealth managers, private banks, family offices and asset managers.Assist with marketing campaigns via Salesforce and client facing engagement.Be able to clearly communicate investment ideas and product information to clients and prospects.Work closely with local Business Intelligence to leverage business and adviser flow insights and support the Coverage team with effective sales plans.Support the Marketing team in effective EDM generation for targeted sales campaigns.What we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this role:Strong client service capabilities with some experience in the asset management industry, preferably ETFs and managed funds.Has operated in a client service, sales support role for approximately 3 years.Understands the various Intermediary market segments and the role of investment platforms in our industry.Degree qualified or equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.Education & Preferred QualificationsA degree preferably in Business or Finance field.Hold a current RG146 Qualification.Strong knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft applications.Experience with Morningstar Direct is viewed favourably.Working knowledge of ETFs and managed funds.Strong verbal and written communication skills.3 years working in a relevant financial services role providing client support for financial intermediaries.General understanding of asset allocation.Additional requirementsStrong communication skills.Confident, enthusiastic and solution-oriented mindset.Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external clients.Willingness to assume responsibility and take ownership of assigned tasks.Good technical ability with investment industry knowledge.Ability to work well within a team with strong organisational skills.Positive and "can-do" attitude.Willingness to roll up sleeves and navigate complexity.Aligned with State Street's culture of corporate citizenship.Desire to work in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and for an equal opportunity employer.Commitment to being a team player.Integrity.Commitment to detail.About State Street Global AdvisorsWhat We Do.
