Position: Senior Lecturer / Course Coordinator in Advanced Manufacturing & Cyber Security
Your Opportunity
As a TAFE Senior Lecturer / Course Coordinator, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of higher education undergraduate degree courses in Advanced Manufacturing and Cyber Security.
You will oversee the curriculum design, instruction, and assessment processes while fostering innovation in teaching and learning.
The role offers the opportunity to shape the future of education in these critical fields, integrating cutting-edge research, industry practice, and technology to prepare students for the evolving manufacturing and technologies industries.
The Role
We have an exciting permanent full-time position available to join our Advanced Manufacturing & Cyber Security delivery team at TAFE Queensland's Eagle Farm campus.
This position reports to the Business Manager, SkillsTech.

Develop and implement curriculum for Advanced Manufacturing, Cyber Security, and Automation courses at undergraduate degree levels.
Lead the teaching team, ensuring consistency in teaching practices and quality delivery.
Monitor and analyse student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
Conduct and supervise impactful research in the relevant field, including publishing high-quality research papers.
Foster connections and collaborations with industry stakeholders to enhance teaching and research outcomes.
Leverage technology to enrich learning environments and encourage collaboration among students, staff, and industry partners.
Contribute to high-level research and the academic development of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on Our Customer, Showing Initiative and Taking Responsibility.
Qualifications/Requirements
Mandatory requirements:
Possession of a doctoral qualification in Electrical Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Cyber Security, Automation, or a closely related field.
Recognised equivalent relevant academic or professional or practice-based experience and expertise; Knowledge of contemporary developments in a discipline or field, which is informed by continuing scholarship or research or advances in practice; Skills in contemporary teaching, learning and assessment principles relevant to a discipline, the role, and modes of delivery and the needs of student cohorts.
Highly Desirable Requirements
Experience leading academic teams in a discipline/course or other organisational area or to an interdisciplinary area, including the programming of courses and preparation of delivery timetables.
Knowledge of contemporary developments in a discipline or field, which is informed by continuing scholarship or research or advances in practice; Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; Higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).
Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided; Current evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment.
Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership at a course/program level and lead a high performing team of academics; Proven ability to develop innovative approaches to learning and teaching within an applied learning environment and encouraging students to apply that learning in industry settings; The ability to lead high quality course delivery within an applied learning environment, in accordance with Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) standards, with a demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding client service; Demonstrated record of achievement as a leading practitioner with a reputation for skills, knowledge and expertise at a national level; Superior written and oral communication skills, as well as superior negotiation, influencing and listening skills; Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and sustain productive internal and external stakeholder relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
