Civil Supervisor
Location: Sydney, Australia
We are currently working with a leading civil company based in Sydney, Australia.
As a Civil Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing civil construction projects. Reporting to the Construction Manager and Directors, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, adhering to timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, including engineers, site supervisors, and construction crews.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and supervise civil construction projects, including roads (RMS), bulk earthworks, utilities, and related infrastructure projects.
2. Coordinate and oversee on-site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, design plans, and safety regulations.
3. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular updates to the Construction Manager and Directors.
4. Manage project resources, including materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize efficiency and productivity.
5. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is performed according to project specifications and quality standards.
6. Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
7. Collaborate with engineers, site supervisors, and construction crews to ensure effective communication and coordination.
8. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations on all projects.
Requirements:
9. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Supervisor or a similar role in the civil construction industry.
10. Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and industry best practices.
11. Experience in managing various civil projects, including roads (RMS), bulk earthworks, and utilities.
12. Proven ability to lead and supervise construction crews effectively.
13. Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
15. Proficient in interpreting project plans, specifications, and drawings.
16. Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the construction industry.
17. Relevant certifications or qualifications in civil engineering or construction management are preferred.
18. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
