About the Opportunity This is no ordinary engineering role. You'll work across R&D, process optimisation, plant design, commissioning, and customer support — both in Australia and internationally — as this company continues to deploy its world-leading carbonisation systems in 8+ countries.

What You'll Do Process Design & Innovation Develop, optimise, and troubleshoot carbonisation systems Design process flows, mass & energy balances, PFDs, P&IDs R&D & Trials Test new feedstocks and refine carbonisation tech Conduct trials and produce technical reports for clients and regulators Commissioning & Support Join commissioning teams on-site and remotely (domestic/international) Provide ongoing support for operating facilities and clients Safety, Compliance, & Documentation Ensure systems meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards Participate in HAZOPs, produce functional and technical documentation About You Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (mandatory)
5–8+ years' experience in a process or chemical engineering role
RPEQ or progressing toward PE status
Familiar with biomass boilers, thermal treatment, or similar tech
Skilled in Excel, process simulations, & software like Aspen, AutoCAD, or ChemCAD
Excellent communicator, team collaborator, and proactive problem solver
Must have Australian work rights — no sponsorship available Prepared for domestic and international travel as needed
