The Northern Cooperative Meat Company Ltd (NCMC) is a leading export food processor with production facilities at Casino and Booyong, near Lismore, in the Northern Rivers area of the NSW Far North Coast.We have an exciting opportunity for Trainee Boiler Attendants to join our team operating two 12 MW boilers.The successful candidates will undergo training to hold an Advanced Boiler ticket and will be available to undertake general trades assistant duties within our maintenance and refrigeration group.These roles require rotating rostered shift work and overtime.Although helpful, prior experience is not essential for this role.We are looking for applicants with the right attitude towards work that we can train and mentor with these skills.Main Duties: Monitoring and maintaining refrigeration plant operations Monitoring and maintaining boiler operations, steam and hot water systems Minor maintenance tasks on the above systems Testing, monitoring and maintenance of chemicals for boiler operations Ideal Candidate Qualifications: A solid work ethic and a positive attitude towards work Basic mechanical understanding Ability to undertake rotating shift rosters including weekends Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Sound IT skills and the ability to learn new computer systems Ability to learn new skills and a willingness to undertake further training to develop these skills Desirable Experience/Qualifications: Advanced or Standard Boiler High Risk Work License A background in manufacturing/processing What We Offer: Ability to increase your earnings with regular overtime available.Significant career development and ongoing training opportunities for the right individuals.Positive and close-knit team culture.Company benefits such as discounts at the onsite meat shop, gym membership subsidies, free parking, daily laundered clothing and company-issued PPE, access to the large onsite canteen, banking and health care discounts through our priority partner programs, 24/7 free access to the company counselling service (Employee Assistance Program).
