We are currently hiring for a Network Engineer to work within our Corporate Infrastructure Services (CIS) business unit. The role is part of the Office Infrastructure Deployment (OID) team that executes globally network infrastructure deployment, works on turn-up of new offices, post-occupancy projects like office expansions or decommissions, life cycle replacement projects (hardware & software refreshes), and strategic security networking initiatives.
This OID work is executed remotely and requires collaboration with teams such as AWS Networking, IT Services, Technical Program Managers, and Low Voltage Contractors. You will be an integral part of the APAC OID team based in Sydney.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Create and implement configuration changes on the network during scheduled change management windows.
* Troubleshoot networking, routing, and inter-connectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configurations.
* Collaborate with Amazon partners to deploy changes.
* Create and review documentation regarding network implementation/deployments, recurring issues, new standard operating procedures, knowledge transfer material, etc.
You should have:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other relevant Engineering disciplines.
* 3+ years of enterprise experience as a technician or engineer.
* CCNA certification or similar/equivalent networking certifications.
* Experience as a network engineer in a corporate office environment.
* Understanding of infrastructure technologies, including Routers and Switches.
* Experience working with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls.
* Experience deploying or supporting Aruba or Cisco wireless network equipment.
* Basic scripting/programming skills with Python and fundamental knowledge in version control using Git Framework.
