The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.
Duties
The Transport Network Planning Engineer is responsible for the provision of technical and specialist multi-modal planning and feasibility analysis of strategic transport initiatives, impacting on the future development of the multi-modal transport system in South Australia.
This position is part of the Transport Strategy and Planning Division, which drives integrated strategies for state-wide transport networks and assets, aligned to state economic and social objectives.
Requirements
The Transport Network Planning Engineer will have professional experience in a similar role and a strong desire to influence transport strategies that benefit the South Australian community. The candidate will need to be a strong communicator with a collaborative approach to work and the ability to provide technically sound advice which supports Departmental objectives and priorities.
The successful candidate will have experience undertaking planning studies and an understanding of the issues, risks, trends and emerging opportunities facing transport systems.
In addition the role requires excellent written communication and report writing skills and well developed interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and provide customer focused services.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Transport Planning or similar field.
Special Conditions
The successfulcandidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior toemployment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be requiredrelevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.
Remuneration PO2 - $85,665 to $94,801 per annum
