TheRole
We have an exciting positionavailable for an Instrumental Music Tutor, with a special focus onthe Violin to join our team across our Wheelers HillCampus.
The Instrumental Music Tutor isresponsible for teaching within the music department and therecruitment of instrumental students while nurturing relationshipswith all music students across the different campuses of theCaulfield Grammar School.
In this role, the Music Tutor willfocus on the following programs,
1. Year 2 Instrumental Program
2. Year 7 Instrumental Program
3. Private Suzuki Violin/Viola tuition
4. Direction of two String Ensembles
5. Teaching Suzuki Group Classes.
Our passionate Strings team isseeking an accomplished, qualified Violin/Viola tutor who iscurrently completing or has attained their Primary SuzukiAccreditation to commence from Week 1, Term 3, 2024.This is a 12-month casual opportunity,to start in Term 3, working 3 days a week and be split in betweentwo applicants, with the option for job sharing if one candidatedoes not have the necessary qualifications to teach allprograms.
KeyDuties
6. Act as an inspirational tutor, performer and mentor who models the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
7. Be a dynamic, innovative and motivating musician
8. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with students and staff
9. Contribute to a highly motivated team
10. Collaborate with the Head of Strings to support development of the whole school music program.
11. Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
Skills andExperience
12. Proven tutoring experience within a school music programme using Suzuki Accreditation or currently working towards the Suzuki Accreditation
13. Ability to tutor and engage primary and secondary aged students
14. Ability to conduct and select repertoire for String Orchestras
15. Experience in delivering Suzuki Group Classes
16. Hold or willing to obtain an Employment Working With Children Check.
